Florence Here I Come!

Florence is just 11 days away and I'm getting more anxious by the minute! I was warned to pack early so I started today. Hopefully I wont be too frantic the last few days before my big trip! Being that I am only allowed 2 suitcases (for 4 months!), I am kind of having a hard time packing. I have talked to lots of experienced abroaders for advice and these are the essentials they suggested that I keep in mind when packing.
1. Rain Coat/Warm Jackets: Since it is still winter coats are a must. I plan to bring three different kinds. a rain coat, a peacoat, and a cargo jacket. Hopefully I will be covered for all kinds of weather.
2. Basic Blouses: I was told to bring a lot of basics and I have decided that sheer blouses will be great. They are light and easy to pack and can be worn day and night. They will also transition great into the spring weather.
3. Comfy Basics: Whether I am traveling, touring or just lounging in my apartment I know I will love having some basic tees to just throw on. They are comfortable and easy to layer. Also although I don't plan to bring many accessories I hope to find some unique scarves or jewelry there to vamp up my wardrobe.
4. Boots: One of the first things I was told was to find the most comfortable shoes possible. Of course this is because I will be walking everywhere, which is a blessing, being that I will be in pasta heaven. I plan to bring my favorite Enzo Salem Riding boots in black. Along with that I am bringing two pairs of shorter boots for when it warms up.
5. Scarves: Not only will scarves keep me warm but they're an easy travel accessory. I wont have to worry about them breaking or getting tangled so I plan to bring a few of these, two winter and two spring ones.
6. Leggings: Last but certainly not least, leggings will be my best friend on this trip. They are easy to pack and I can bring a lot of them! They are great in the cold and rain and even not too hot when the weather gets warmer. I plan to bring quite a few pairs of these because I know I will prefer them over jeans when touring around Europe.
